Rune Midtgaard, b. 1960
Teacher (maths, biology, English) and land surveyor technician. Has travelled in Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, Croatia, Fiji, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Laos, Macedonia, Malaysia, Morocco, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales), USA (most states). Has worked for two years in Thailand. Since 1973 associated with Terrarium Vissenbjerg, a Danish reptile zoo, where he has taken many of his photos. Former zoo board member (2005-2010) and webmaster at the zoo (2003-2013).
Equipment: exclusively Canon, currently EOS 7D and various original Canon lenses (EF-S 60mm macro, MP-E 65mm 1-5x macro, EF 100mm macro, EF 180mm macro, EF 300mm IS USM, extender EF 1.4x II, EF 17-40mm USM, EF 28-135mm USM, and previously other Canon cameras and lenses).

Rune's photos have been published in books, magazines, pamphlets, newspapers, posters, calendars, educational material used in zoos and exhibitions, as well as in websites representing conservation organisations, government institutions, and private organisations and individuals.
